An image bulletin board is a place where people can post images of whatever they like, provided they do not abuse the board's privilages. Pinoychan differs from the regular forums by not requiring its users to register before posting. Pinoychan is a site where its posters can enjoy complete anonimity from other posters.
You start by choosing a board to post in. The board "Random" or "/b/" is the usual starting point for beginners as it usually have lax rules and many posters. After choosing a board, you can either post or comment on a post.
Posting is easy. If you've chosen a board (if you haven't, just click on one of the links in the home page),
you can see at the top page a form that looks like this:
Simply choose an image (Choose File Button), and click on submit. That's it!
It is optional but recommended to add a message and subject to your posts. And it is optional but not recommended to add an email and name to your posts.
Note that an Image is the minimum requirement for starting a new thread. You will get an error message like this if you don't attach an image to a new thread:
Commenting on a post is even easier. select a thread from the thread listing in the boards, and click on 'Reply'.
Once clicked a "Reply" page would show up and it looks like this:
You can reply with at least a message to a thread. It is encouraged to post images as your reply as it adds flavor to the thread.
Most users of this site do not set usernames. If you really really want to show the world who you are, then use a tripcode!
A tripcode is something a user can put into the "Name" field when posting on an image board to uniquely identify themselves. This prevents another user from "stealing" another's identity. Basically, whatever password you enter is encrypted, creating a hash value that is displayed, uniquely identifying a user.
Tripcodes can be used by putting a # (hash sign) after one's name in the "Name" field, and then typing a password after that. An example would be the following:
For instance: putting hotgirl19#moot in the name field would result in hotgirl19!26D7I/H7YY as your name.
Where moot is the intended password of the user.
By replying to a post you effectively bump it.
Sometimes we don't like certain threads but we just have to reply to them. If you don't want to bump a thread up while replying to it, simply put sage in the email field before clicking on submit reply like so:
Simply click the post number of who you wish to quote, and put a ">" before the text you wish to quote.
Yep. Check the box near your post, scroll down to the bottom of the page, then click delete. You can delete the file alone if you want as well, just check the "Image Only" check box. Please note that it is necessary to set a password in the password field when making a post in order to be allowed to delete a post.
Each board has a limit of 10 pages and 100 Threads. These threads are arranged from latest posted or commented to the oldest. As newer posts get submitted your post gets pushed off to the back of the list. If it goes over the 100th thread, it gets deleted.
Another possiblity would be a moderator could have deleted your post.
