Norse diety. one of Odin's many sons. Controls lightning and wields the mighty hammer Mjolnir. New costume update my marvel also kicks ass as he now wears scale mail, as opposed to looking like some strange ass guy with weird tastes in clothing.

More than likely movie thor may be based on Ultimate thor :D

>New costume update my marvel also kicks ass

Unfortunately, based on the pic it doesn't seem to work well on film. Plasticy armor and bright towel-like cape makes him look like some guy in a cosplay.

Could've been cool if they made it more "realistic" in viking terms, like use more metal and leather and a deep/dull colored red cape.

I'm starting to agree with you. I honestly started raving about Thor when they redid his costume and started looking more kickass with wearing full bodied chain mail.

But as of the movie suit, guy probably doesn't fill the suit out well (literally) considering I think Thor to be at least 6'2, broad shoulders and a wide chest. A pro wrestler's build maybe so steroids would definitely help. Also saw movie synopsis and it sounds like a rehash of the original, which is kinda bleh. Probably rushing to get things going for the Avengers.

I wish it was more realistic. Looks even worst than a piss poor cosplay considering someone from /co/ in 4chan suggested wanting to do a thor cosplay, which another smart anon asked if he had the body and if so, directed him to a place where you can buy parts to make your own chain mail.

¨ No. 513
Didn't really follow it but I'm a sucker for green lantern storylines since the reformation of the corps was pretty neat and the yellow corps as well.

It has ridiculousness with batman of course. But otherwise people liked Larfleeze and the RAAAAAAAGE rings.

mostly because it didn't have to tie up with dozens of other dcu characters.

also, scarecrow got shafted.

Well, wala akong nakitang dedicated thread tungkol dito...

Yung Pupung (meron pa ba nito?) e talagang juvenile.

>You want to talk about hacks? Manix Abrera. He's a cool guy and all, and I have all his books signed, but cmon. Just. Cmon.

Not a dedicated reader or fan, pero mukha namang matino yung art. anong problema naman nito, sa kwento?

I already had that feeling since 2005, mula ng wala na akong mahagilap na Funny sa isang suking komiks stand sa Libertad, Pasay (and as of around 2008, komiks was gone from that place altogether).

>So what is up with people trying to bring back the EXTREME of the 90's?
>Oh how Pinoys are late on catching trends.

Probably some of the artists, inspired by guys like Leinil Yu, Pagulayan, Portacio wanted to see how the new pinoy comic book fans would be receptive of 90's style super heroes. Because it was never exposed to pinoys before since buying singles was (and still is) a bitch.

Sadly, its masturbation. The only people who like bayan knights are a very select few and the other small-fry artists who want to contribute, since they feel special working on some 'unique' project. To put it bluntly, nice cover art, redundant character designs, SHIT STORY. Just like 70% of image books in the 90's and most of Rob Liefeld's shit.

>>497

Not really. Just a certain few who are trying to capitalize on borrowed concepts, but forgetting why it failed to begin with. Fuck I'd like to revive Valiant Comic's style. That shit had STYLE AND SUBSTANCE! Or even some of Crossgen's solid stuff.

>since they feel special working on some 'unique' project
>Oh how Pinoys are late on catching trends.

You have the likes of Gilbert Monsanto to thank for that. This guy seriously tells people that he purposely decided not to get a career abroad and that he would rather do the noble cause of supporting the local industry.

But the REAL truth behind that is he sucks, is outdated, and couldn't get a career abroad. But no, people don't actually know that.

So now, using his long overdue influence, he teaches indies his outdated ways while the likes of Pagulayan and Yu continue on with their careers in Marvel and learn new trends.

Yeah, bought Boy Ipis, which is under the Bayan Knights brand. neat cover, shitty story. Browsed other BK brands. All shit. Kubori Strips for the Soul was much better.

I'm curious as to why they rolled with this now. I mean Archie has been through quite a bit in his life, with Punisher trying to kill him, with 4 turtles helping him out, marriage attempt, dealing with minorities and the other faggot towns outside of Riverdale. What makes people think he wouldn't be all cool with some metrosexual gay dude? If anything Veronica would have an issue since she'll be looking for that cool, awesome gay guy friend.
And Betty wouldn't care since she takes it up the ass.

If anything, Mr. Weatherbee is probably hiding in the closet still.

I think he meant flamboyant. But Reggie's just the cocky, jerkface asshole to compliment Archie's next door red head personality. He's got more motivation to get more pussy than the entire male student body of riverdale.

See there is the gay guy that is outwardly gay and the gay guy who behaves like any normal guy. Like Will from Will and Grace.
